History

Rakesh and Preethy arrived in London in 2005, having been committed Christians since 1996. Upon seeking God for direction, God revealed to Rakesh the truth in Gen 26 tcf storyabout the wells of God being presently blocked and the approaching season for them to be reopened. God said to go to East London, to minister there as God’s rivers of living water will flow once again.

On doing research they found out that East London was the location of God’s revivals many years past. And presently, the area is one of the grimmest areas in England. William Booth started his Salvation Army form East London seeing the same need many years ago.

Not knowing exactly where to go or what to start, Preethy and Rakesh went through the streets just praying. Praying for the land, praying for the people, praying for God to shine His light.

As they went, God put it into their hearts to start a meeting in their house. God brought into their lives people looking to live their lives for God and many were added to the ministry.

God’s heart is for His people. He longs to have His children next to Him. When the children don’t come to the father sometimes the Father sends someone to get them. Capstone Church is that someone.

So this fledgling ministry went out to the streets of East London. A vision was birthed. A mission was birthed.

Capstone Church started as a mission house in East London. Over the last few years we have had the support of many established churches and the encouragement they have given in stating that yes this is the work of God.
